On Myers-Briggs, I’m an INTP. That means that one of my passions is the pursuit of knowledge which has led to a collection of credentials. I earned a BA in psychology from Carleton College. My liberal arts background put me in the minority when I earned my MBA at Duke University. There I gravitated toward the topics of leadership and change management as well as Service Operations.
That, in turn, led me to fifteen years at American Express and Discover Card where I held roles such as Director and Senior Manager, focusing on improving the experience of customers interacting with the service processes, in addition to leading the professional development and employee training functions.
Along the way, I picked up a certificate in Archetypal Pattern Analysis, became a certified Life Coach (through Coach Training Alliance) and earned my PhD (on the ten year plan!). My doctoral research focused on how we craft story within organizations. I’m also an aspiring fiction writer.
I am currently continuing my education as a Robbins-Madanes Certification student and I am completing a program on the Art of Developmental Coaching.
